Marcus Ringani was born 1997, raised in Nzhakanzhaka in Limpopo. He is currently residing in Soshanguve due to studies, where he’s a final-year student in Journalism at Tshwane University of Technology.

Many people were caught-off guard when they found out about his lifestyle. Marcus joined the acting industry on the 12th of September 2019 under Zero to Hero that’s based in Johannesburg. His desire for acting did not start two years ago, but it came all the way back from his high school years where he used to act in drama.

Coming to Pretoria was like a dream come true. Joining the agency granted him opportunities to show his talent, He got opportunities to be one of the roles on two TV drama series, namely, Isithembiso and Isidingo. Marcus said, “It was so scary going to Johannesburg because I didn’t know the place, I only knew Pretoria.”

During weekends, he would work with his uncle and that’s where he learned his paving skills. Currently, Marcus owns his paving company where he has two employees. He has paved one of TUT residences around Ga-Rankuwa next to Odi  Community Hospital. Marcus said he does not like asking money from his parents, he prefers being the one to provide for them. “I have bothered them from grade 1 until grade 12, it’s enough.”, said Marcus.

Journalism is like a backup plan, he only wants to acquire a qualification of something he likes., all he wants is being an actor. He said, “I take journalism and paving as my shoes, I can take them off anytime but with acting it is a different story, I will walk miles with those shoes and never take them off. Indulge your abilities, you might find a useful one like Marcus.”
